Scott Serkland is a classically trained fine artist who has spent the better half of his life studying and perfecting the techniques of the old masters. Unfortunately, due to a minor bout of amnesia brought on by a bizarre accident involving a microwave oven and a can of aerosol squeeze cheese, all knowledge of this craft is but a mystery to him and he has been reduced to doodling cartoons. Alas, Serkland has taken his knack for spitting out silly little drawings and ran with it.

In 1993 Serkland co-founded Mystic Productions, Inc. (a production company specializing in family entertainment) with Ric Adams. As creative director of Mystic Productions, Serkland created the company flagship title "The Adventures of Alex", a live action children series inspired by Alex a real life gibbon ape.

Serkland has also developed conceptual designs, illustrations, and multimedia projects for several companies in the entertainment industry. and has created cartoons and illustrations for Fortune 500 companies, among them Denny's Restaurants, America West Airlines, Frito Lay, Inc. and Major League Baseball to name a few.
